Clinical Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy
The history of hypnosis dates back to the late 18th century, when Franz Mesmer, a German physician, developed mesmerism. It was used to induce a trance in which a person can be operated without anaesthesia. A technique which later on was perfected by Dr James Esdalle (1809 -1859). He conducted about 300 surgery, including abdominal pain using Hypnosis in which the mortality rate went down from 50 % to 8%. However, it was not until the 1950s the British Medical Association and American Medical Association issued a statement supporting the see of Hypnosis as a therapy.
Modern science defines hypnotherapy as a heightened state of concentration and focused attention. Hypnosis allows you to be more open to suggestions for creating changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts, or behaviours, which can help you achieve your goals in life.
